intro & goals

Theatre has always been one of my favorite art forms, so it was an honor to be part of this project.

The goal was to create a minimalist and clean design with a strong focus on showcasing the video archive.

Each video needed its own dedicated page, complete with detailed information, formatted text, and sharing options. Categories, filters, and a search function were also important secondary features.

process

We started with a fantastic logo as our foundation. A key requirement was selecting fonts that supported Bulgarian Cyrillic, so we chose the beautiful and elegant MD Grotesk. For the color palette, we kept it as simple as possible — classic black content on a clean white background.

The UX had to be simple and intuitive, so I drew inspiration from existing video platforms like YouTube and Vimeo. The categories menu was fixed on the left, and each category page featured filters by year and a search functionality for easy navigation.

On the video-dedicated pages, we maintained simplicity by avoiding suggestions, banners, or anything that might distract from the content itself.

outcome

We've reached our goals:

  • A simple and clean design that puts the focus on the content.

  • Easy-to-use categories, filters, and search functionality.

  • The use of beautiful Bulgarian Cyrillic typography.
