intro & goals
Once upon a time, I was a gymnast, so the project deeply resonated with me.
The school offers high-quality training for rhythmic gymnasts of all levels, from beginners to professionals. The club's founder reached out to me through a recommendation, and from the moment I received the brief, I knew working with her would be a true blessing — she’s an absolute kindred spirit.
The goal for the design and copy was to create an aesthetically pleasing and contemporary website that both competitors and their parents could easily navigate.
Performance and SEO had to be as great as the design.
We needed to streamline the schedule calendars so that it was clear at a glance which class was happening, where, and when.
A primary focus was the booking system, where users could subscribe to classes with monthly payments, take advantage of discounts, and receive automatic onboarding emails. Administrative tasks needed to be minimized.

process
As design resources, the academy had amazing photos that we wanted to showcase without making them look tacky.
We chose a black-and-white theme with monochrome pink accents to align with the website and the merch we were planning. The new fonts are clean and elegant, complementing the fantastic logo.
For UX, we followed the KISS principle (Keep It Simple, Stupid).
Development was challenging at first, especially with the booking system and schedule calendars, but after several iterations, we achieved the best version.
Thanks to great communication and creative freedom, the process felt more like a hobby than work. Shoutout to rhythmic gymnastics for being so beautiful.

outcome
We've reached our goals:
We love how the website looks and works.
The website speed and SEO results are the best possible (see screenshot).
The calendar schedules are light and and easy to read.
Most importantly, administrative work is optimized: emails and subscriptions for members are automated, eliminating the need for extra communication.
